COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Police and Armed Forces members seized assault and sniper rifles, a pistol and a rocket launcher from a man they were supposed to serve with a warrant of arrest over the weekend.

Confiscated from Dauren Kasim Manampen were an M16 rifle, M14 rifle, a .50-caliber Barrett sniper rifle, 7.62 mm bolt-action sniper rifle, B40 rocket launcher, .45-caliber pistol and improvised explosives.

The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) regional and Cotabato police along with members of the Army’s 90th Infantry Battalion were supposed to serve Manampen an arrest warrant on Saturday in Barangay Manaulanan in Tugunan, Cotabato.

The protest follows the failed police operation on Saturday, August 24, when approximately 2,000 officers attempted to serve warrants of arrest against Quiboloy and his co-accused.

Brig. Gen. Romeo Juan Macapazgoldbet, BARMM police director, said Manampen is wanted for several high-profile criminal cases that include robbery and drug trafficking.
